Ikea Plans to Sell Only LED-Based Lighting

Ikea Plans to Sell Only LED-Based Lighting

Furniture chain Ikea has announced that it will be eliminating from its stores all non-LED lighting by 2016 in an effort to advocate greener, cleaner energy. This phase-out would make Ikea the first major home furnishing shop with branches in the United States to ban less efficient lighting from their shelves. To entice consumers to go green in their lighting choices, Ikea also plans on offering the “lowest price on the market” for LEDs.
