Development nearly complete on 64-bit Exynos chip, could debut in Galaxy S5

According to reports out of Korea, Samsung has nearly completed development of what will be the first 64-bit chip in their Exynos lineup. While there are still a few technical and logistical issues to iron out, barring any crazy set backs the new CPU will debut in the Samsung Galaxy S5. Rumors say the chip will utilize a 14nm process and be based on ARM's big.LITTLE platform, much like the current Exynos 5 octa. The eight-core chip would deploy Cortex-A53 and Cortex-A57 cores with the ability to push all cores simultaneously while offering reduced power consumption.

This Lexus hybrid will paint your self-portrait while you drive

To encourage better driving habits, some hybrids use leaves or tree graphics to portray how efficient or inefficiently a driver is, but Lexus has come up with a more unique method of relaying this information. For its Art Is Motion campaign, Lexus has equipped a Lexus IS300h with special software that enables the car to paint a portrait of the driver by combining the skills of generative artist Sergio Albiac with specific inputs from the driver. A regular photograph is uploaded into the system, but the portrait will vary depending on how the car is driven.

HTC Says Its Not Shutting Down Any Production Lines

Yesterday, Reuters reported that HTC has stopped “at least one” of its smartphone production lines in Taiwan, out of the four it has in the country. The production line shutdown was said to account for at least a fifth of the total manufacturing capacity. According to the report, HTC would begin outsourcing production so as to reduce the pressure on its cash flow as it struggles to move more units of its devices in the market. The company today issued a formal denial.

We have seen the alleged press render of the Nexus 10 2013 model yesterday, and it could very well be on the way to be released pretty soon as the 16GB Nexus 10 has already been listed as "Out of Inventory" over on Google Play. Of course, this might mean a thousand and one things, especially when you take into consideration that the 32GB model happens to be still available in the market. It remains to be seen just exactly when the 16GB Nexus 10 model has been out of inventory, but it ought to be pretty recent since nobody really picked up on it.

According to Billboard, Google will soon be launching a premium music video subscription service for YouTube similar to Spotify (except, only with music videos). Sources say YouTube will offer free viewing of videos along with a premium option for around $10 a month. Broadband Connectivity Arrives In Space

Broadband Connectivity Arrives In Space

When we talk about space travel, chances are we would think of it being one of the most high tech situations where one can be in. Unfortunately, that is not the case across the board. For instance, actual communications between the Earth and moon still happen to be static-filled, just like as they were back in the 1960s. NASA might have something to turn things around though, after they have successfully got a lunar broadband connection up and running.

Toffee Mission Rucksack for iPad review

Toffee Mission Rucksack for iPad review

. A few months ago, Julie asked us to post our EDC (everyday carry) bag. Since then, I realized that I had nothing remotely resembling an EDC, so I thought I would try to remedy that. The main requirement I had was that it had to fit my iPad with its case on, and be big enough to fit all of my purse items and a few extra gadgets. The first bag I came across was the Mission Rucksack for iPad from Toffee. It claims to have good storage space and is made to fit and protect an iPad. Let's see how it performed.

The rucksack is made of water resistant, waxed canvas with tanned leather trims.

Daimler's (relatively) brief ten-year romance with the Maybach brand may have drawn to a close, but that doesn't mean the name is lost once again to the annals of history. According to the latest reports coming from Germany, Mercedes-Benz may opt to keep the Maybach name alive on the top-tier version of the S-Class that's moving upmarket to take the place of the departed Maybach 57 and 62. The flagship S-Class, previously thought to be called the Pullman, is expected to stretch the platform as far as it can go.
