For the first time since 1973, a Pierce-Arrow Silver Arrow has gone up for auction. Just five of these historic machines were ever built, and only three are known to exist today. So, it's rare. But it's also fast. In 1933, when the Silver Arrow went on the market, its top speed of 115 miles per hour was extremely impressive.

So, when a Pierce-Arrow rolled down the block at the 2012 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, there were plenty of eyes glued on the stage. And there were also bidders. Deep-pocketed bidders, in fact.

Upcoming Canon 5D MK III DSLR Camera

Word has it that Canon will launch the new 5D MK III in March 2012 after Japan's CP+ show. The camera will feature a 20-megapixel sensor with a DIGIC 5 processor, a total of 19 AutoFocus points, a 5fps continuous shooting and a GPS tagging. Unfortunately, there is no official confirmation from Canon so far. Stay tuned for more updates.

Samsung Galaxy Note for AT&T visits the FCC

The Samsung Galaxy Note has been officially announced to be arriving on AT&T, but we have yet to hear about a release date for the phone. Well, it looks like the phone might be arriving soon. According to reports online, the phone has just made it past the offices of the FCC with support for AT&T's 4G LTE network. It will also support GSM/EDGE bands 850 and 1900 as well as WCDMA bands II and IV.

UFC Undisputed 3 Demo To Be Released Next Week

THQ will launch the demo version of UFC Undisputed 3 on January 24, 2012, which is next week. The demo will be available for download via PSN and the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. In case you didn't know, the full version of this video game will be launched on February 14, 2012 in North America and February 17, 2012 in Europe. You can also pre-order the game from its website.

Acer Iconia Tab A200 now available at Best Buy USA

Acer's affordable Iconia Tab A200 tablet was supposed to be released in the US on January 15. However, it's only now (January 20) that it's actually available for purchase. Only Best Buy seems to have the Iconia Tab A200 in stock for the moment. The retailer is asking $349.99 for the tablet's 16GB model – go here to buy it. The 8GB model, which should cost $329.99, is not available yet (but I assume it will be soon).

The Acer Iconia Tab A200 features a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, Wi-Fi, Facebook and Twitter integration, USB (full size), 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 2MP front-facing camera.

We’ve seen quite a few Android-powered smart watches as of late, including a new entry from Sony and the MOTOACTV from Motorola. They can interface with a smartphone to allow users to receive notifications and manage calls, but so far we haven’t seen any really great all-in-one concepts. That is not to say this Android watch from Shenzhen Phaeton Nice Electronic High-Tech Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (you really can’t make that name up…) will be the driving force behind a phonewatch revolution, but it’s built-in cellular support would make James Bond proud.

Kindle Fire demand cooling off? Amazon sales charts say otherwise

. Following what Amazon reported to have been a huge holiday season for the company's debut tablet, demand for the Kindle Fire has slowed according to new claims. Citing unnamed sources from within Amazon's component supply chain, DigiTimes on Friday stated that Amazon's tablet orders with original device manufacturers have been cut in half from roughly 6 million tablets in the fourth quarter last year to 3 million units this quarter. The Kindle Fire had a hot holiday season so a drop-off in orders is expected in the quarter that follows, though it is unclear if a 50% decrease in device orders is industry standard.

The iPhone continues to be my favorite smartphone almost entirely due to the fact that I love the built in 8MP camera and all the photography apps devoted to it. But it isn't just the apps that keep me interested, it's also the camera accessories created specifically for the iPhone. We've reviewed a few of those accessories like the Pixeet Panorama Lens, which is an attachment that enables you to capture 180 and 360 degree panoramic images. Amazon estimated to make $100 in added revenue per Kindle Fire sold

It has been previously speculated that Amazon makes a loss on every Kindle Fire tablet sold, but recoups the money by profiting in sales of content. Well if you've ever wondered how much content Amazon sells because of the Kindle Fire; an estimation from Ross Sandler of RBC Capital (an investment firm that recently surveyed Kindle Fire owners) puts that figure at around $100 per tablet. That's a lot of money considering that Amazon has been selling “millions” of Kindle Fire tablets and the estimation is a conservative one.

Phil Schiller has just taken to the stage of Apple's education event at the Guggenheim museum in New York City and announced the first half of Apple's platform that's going to “reinvent the textbook:” iBooks 2. Saying that there were 1.5 million iPads currently in use in Education (using 20,000 specific apps), the revamped book-stand now includes education-specific features to help the budding students of the world. You'll be able to paw through content, stopping to flick through detailed 3D animated models of elements within, access video and definitions without leaving the page.

Canon has unveiled another one of its upcoming Full HD camcorder, the iVIS HF R31. This compact and lightweight camcorder sports an HD CMOS sensor, a 32x optical zoom lens, a 3.0-inch (230k dots) touchscreen display, Canon's DIGIC DV III image processor, a 32GB of internal storage, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, a mini HDMI port and 1080x60i Full HD video recording capabilities. The iVIS HF R31 will go on sale from early March for unannounced price yet.

Sony Ericsson Q4 and full 2011 results are out, don't look good

Sony Ericsson published its Q4 and full 2011 financial reports and things aren't looking good for its fans. The joint-venture, which is to become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony this year, had a rough time in the holiday quarter, which led to a major dip in its overall performance for the year. Sony Ericsson saw a dip in both sales volume and value in Q4, which resulted in a net loss of €207 million.

Nintendo Offers Free Game Demos for 3DS

Nintendo is giving its 3DS console a little more dose of interesting. Starting today, gamers who visit the Nintendo eShop will be able to download free game demo versions of select games a few weeks before the full versions are available in stores. For its opening salvo, users can download a demo of Resident Evil Revelations from Capcom, wherein they can tour around Raccoon City and shoot a bunch of zombies in the process.

AntiCrop App Un-Crops Your Photos

AntiCrop un-crops your images. If only it could fix blurry focus, too. It's easy enough top crop a photograph when you left to much space around the the subject (or just to get rid of some annoying junk at the edges of the frame). But what about the other way around? When you shot too close, for example? Or when you need to rotate an image slightly without having to chop off the corners?

Now, it's just as simple, with a new universal iOS called AntiCrop. It does one thing: un-crop your images.

Around this time last year, when iPad 2 rumors were in full-swing, leaked cases were all the rage when it came to figuring out what the next generation iPad would look like. They will be holding a press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to discuss the latest news in their Xperia line. We've already gotten one major announcement at this past CES and we now know that at least 11 new phones are headed our way this year with the first units said to be coming in April. Volkswagen Up! five-door hits the patent office

Images of a five-door version of the Volkswagen Up. have surfaced courtesy of a European patent office. The German automaker confirmed a five-door version of the pint-sized vehicle was headed to market, and Volkswagen even went so far as to show off the Cross Up. Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Judging by the patent photo, the production version of the five-door Up! will stick fairly close to the concept and will ride on a similarly tall suspension.
