BookBook iPhone 4 casing now available

TwelveSouth, the same company that brought you the BookBook MacBook casings has decided to shrink the design down with the iPhone 4 in mind. So instead of looking like you're carrying around a huge tome, you now look like you're carrying around a smaller tome which judging by its looks could totally pass off as a Bible; in fact, load your iPhone 4 with a Bible app and it wouldn't be too far from the truth. It looks pretty good and very classy from afar, although some reports are indicating that the "spine" of the casing is made out of distressed embossed leather which sort of cheapens the whole effect.

HTC CFO says it's time to ‘figure it out' with Apple

HTC's CFO Winston Yung appears ready to make a deal with market rival and patent nemesis Apple. The Taiwanese company has had some rather harsh words for the Cupertino crew, and it hasn't seemed any more conciliatory after getting slapped by the ITC. That may be starting to change, as Yung told Bloomberg, “we [Apple and HTC] have to sit down and figure it out.” He went on to say that the house that Sense built was open to discussions with Jobs and co. but did not venture to guess what a final agreement might look like.

Not only is it a tedious bore, the real world can be such an unnecessary distraction when trying to listen for footsteps coming around the corner or place that last block on a Minecraft masterpiece, which is obviously why ASUS is launching a noise cancelling headset just for the likes of us. They're called the Republic of Gamers Vulcan ANC Pro. The acronym stands for 'active noise cancelling' - although they have been launched so close to Nelson Mandela's 93rd birthday that I can't help feel they're missing a trick for South African sales of the bright red set of cans.

Google adds recent popularity graph to web Android Market

Google has pushed out another small change to the web-based desktop Android Market site, with each app's listing page now featuring a graph that traces the app's number of installations over time. No extra data is included other than the usual number of installs bracket that's been there all along, with the little graph simply showing movement over the last 30 days. Here it is.
Obviously given the non-stop explosive growth Android's experiencing at the moment, we'd imagine every app is going to show upward movement of some degree purely thanks to the increased number of people using the system.

Lenovo ThinkPad T520i Intel Core i3-2310M

The Intel Core i3 runs like a charm in collaboration with the T520i's Intel HD graphics 3000 and the 500 GB hard drive that whirls around at 7200 rpm. No complaints when it comes to speed with the exception of application startup. It's been my experience to hold off on multiple application launches all at once on ThinkPads. They tend to take twice as long to startup when this occurs.
ThinkPads get a high value mark among laptop users for its resistance to change, but it'd be nice to have seen Lenovo take this ThinkPad model into the chiclet keyboard stage that so many other laptop models are being produced with.

Personal Audio sues Apple again

Personal Audio sues Apple again

A couple of years ago, Personal Audio LLC filed a lawsuit against Apple, accusing them of allegedly unauthorized use of Personal Audio's playlist-related IP. The case was settled, with Personal Audio being awarded $8 million as a settlement fee. Now it looks like Personal Audio isn't satisfied with the money and is out for more blood. Because the previous lawsuit was filed back in 2009, it only covered the old iPods that were out back then. Apparently Apple's devices that have been released since the original lawsuit infringe on Personal Audio's patents as well and the company has decided to go after those as well.
