Benchmarks confirm 1GB of RAM, no CPU speed boost in Apple's new iPad

. Vietnamese blog Tinhte.vn managed to snag a new iPad ahead of the tablet's March 16th release, and after posting an unboxing video, the website ran a Geekbench benchmark to test the device's hardware. The test confirmed that Apple's new tablet has 1GB of RAM and an ARMv7 dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, the same speed as the iPad 2. The new iPad earned an overall Geekbench score of 756, similar to its predecessor, with its strongest results coming from the “Floating Point” and “Memory” tests, which were 915 and 815 respectfully.
