Samsung Galaxy S simply won't get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, not even a ‘value pack'

Here's a bit of sad news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy S and similarly-specced devices made by the Korean company (including the original Galaxy Tab). The saga of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update has concluded, and not in a nice way. To put it plainly, there will be no ICS update. There will also not be any ‘value pack' offerings for these gadgets. The ‘value pack' was rumored to consist of some new features found in ICS, but without containing all the ICS bits and pieces (and obviously without the ICS-specific version of Samsung's favorite bloatware called TouchWiz).
