Korea-based newspaper The Chosun Ilbo reports that Samsung decides to drop its plans to sue Apple in South Korea for patent violations. According to the unnamed Samsung executive, his (or her) company will instead focus its cases in other countries. “We concluded that we should engage in legal battles with Apple only in the global market, but not in order to gain more market share in Korea,” the senior executive stated. It is apparent that Samsung would rather maintain a positive image in its home country.
