Reports about an all-new ultra-compact SIM card started surging in as Giesecke & Devrient, the Munich-based company which gave the world the first SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card offered its proposal for a Nano SIM card to ETSI. Nano SIM Card, as it is officially called, has already been designed and a request for the standard has been submitted to the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). If approved, most of the devices set to release next year will be employing one, which means you'll using be using one, actually.
In terms of size, the Nano SIM card is about one-third smaller than the micro-SIM card.
