Google's keynote presentation during the annual I/O conference confirmed what has been reported all along: the company is taking a plunge in developing hardware beyond smartphones. Leading this new line of Google-branded devices is the Nexus 7, the 7-inch slab that runs on Android 4.1 (also known as Jelly Bean). The spec list is almost an exact copy of previously leaked report: an IPS screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a micro-USB port, 1GB of RAM, 1.2-megapixel front camera, a gyroscope, GPS, accelerometer, microphone, and WiFi.
