LG keeps on announcing new handsets this week, and today the company has introduced what will be its flagship Android smartphone this year: the LG Optimus 4X HD (previously known as LG X3). The Optimus 4X HD is the official successor to the Optimus 2X, announced in early 2011 as the world's first dual-core smartphone. The new handset comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.7 inch True IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels, 8MP rear camera with backside illumination sensor, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board memory, and a 2,150 mAh battery.
