Vine Downloads Slide With Video On Instagram's Release

Twitter's Vine service that served up short video snippets must have sparked off an idea in the minds of Facebook executives, as they mulled whether their Instagram purchase could also do more. Apparently, the answer was yes, and in response to Vine, Video On Instagram was announced last week which sported a video recording feature that is pretty much the same as Vine's, allowing you to shoot and share 15-second video clips (compared to Vine's 6-second video clips).

Leap Motion starts expanded beta, opens dev portal to the public, shows off Airspace app store (hands-on)

We tried our hands at playing Boom Ball (think Brickbreaker in 3D) and messing around in Google Earth, and found Leap to be as capable as the first time we saw it. Control was extremely precise, and being able to tilt our hand to change the angle of ricochet for balls or our direction of flight over the terrain in Google Earth felt natural and fluid. We also saw demos of Photoscape (a cover flow-esque photo viewer), Exoplanet (a 3D model of the known universe), and Block 54 (a Jenga-style game). Each showcased the kinds of basic controls you'd expect: swiping, pinch-to-zoom and selection by jabbing a finger an inch towards the screen.

GT-i9505G Kernel Source Code Released, Thought To Be Google Edition S4

Google was rumored to unveil a new Nexus smartphone at I/O 2013, however the company did not even say anything about a new device. Instead they announced the “Google Edition” Samsung Galaxy S4, which is essentially similar to the conventional Galaxy S4, the major difference being that it runs on stock Android. The device itself has not been released, but it is believed that Samsung might have already posted its kernel source code. Files for GT-i9505G were spotted recently on Samsung's open source website.

RadioShack is offering up a sweet deal for anyone looking to buy an HTC One on the Now Network or good ol' Ma Bell (that's Sprint and AT&T if you aren't hip to carrier nicknames). Buying HTC's 2013 flagship on either carrier will net you $100 in Google Play credit if you sign away another two years of your wireless freedom. That's a ton of money to be spent on music, movies, apps, books, games, magazines and more. AT&T's version is going for $150 at RadioShack, while Sprint is going for just $80.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Line-Up Revealed in 7, 8 and 10.1 inches

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Line-Up Revealed in 7, 8 and 10.1 inches

Samsung has just officially launched its new Galaxy Tab 3 line-up that addresses the high-volume segments of the tablet market with 7″, 8″ and 10.1″ models. All three devices share a common design language which is close to the Galaxy Note 8.0, or the recent Galaxy Mega 6.3. Although the different units address slightly different use cases (and price), they all have in common that they are designed to also work in front of the television as an infra-red universal remote control, a feature that is quickly becoming popular on Android, and that Apple does not support yet.
