We had reported last month that Microsoft was probably going to release the Windows Phone 8 GDR2 update in July. Its actually a minor update that will bring a few improvements and enhancements to the company's mobile platform. Microsoft has now officially posted the details of GDR2 update online, it says that the update will start rolling out to users shortly. It will be rolled out at different times, depending upon the device, mobile operator and region. Xbox Music has been improved, making it easier to select, pin and download music. It is also capable of pulling in more accurate metadata such as song and album information.
