House of Commons receive £17,000 worth of iPads

They say that membership has its privileges, and those who are in the House of Commons certainly have their perks to go along with their positions. Word has it that the House of Commons staff have been treated to £17,000 worth of iPads in 2011, where 17 iPads were purchased for use in the Commons, and an equal number has also been purchased for use by in-house tech experts, PICT – at least that is what Lib. Dem. MP John Thurso said. The use of iPads are currently undergoing a trial to see whether the benefits justify the initial investment.
