According to DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim - who was quoted by Cnet recently - production for displays that will be used on Apple's upcoming iPad has already started (with Apple sourcing the panels from three suppliers, most probably Samsung, Sharp, and LG). Reportedly, the new iPad will have a 10 inch IPS screen with a 2048 x 1536 resolution, for a total of 3,145,728 pixels - four times more than the 786,432 pixels found on the displays of iPad 1 and iPad 2. It's not the first time we're hearing the new iPad would have such a huge resolution.
