There is a new, non-mandatory PS3 firmware update that bumps up the version number to 3.73 that is available, awaiting your download. Basically, nothing major was included but it is still recommended that you make that update since Sony claims “stability during use of certain PS3 format software has been improved.”. Assuming your PS3 system software version is 3.72 (or later), there is no need to go ahead with this update.
