The HP Pre 3 is the first high-end webOS-powered smartphone to be developed after HP purchased Palm. And while it's still not available in the US, it is coming soon, and, HP hopes, will put webOS back on the map, so to speak. Sprint was the launch partner for the original Pre, a device that was supposed to help Palm become a major player in the smartphone space yet again. We all know how well that turned out for Palm, with the company having to sell itself to HP and all that. And Sprint's relationship with Palm (and webOS products) has been also affected by that original contract, it seems.
