U.S. Patent Office Finds Apple's Multitouch Patent “Invalid”

U.S. Patent Office Finds Apple's Multitouch Patent “Invalid”

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a preliminary notice indicating that Apple's patent that covers multitouch technology, including scrolling, might be invalid. The ruling, however, was not issued with finality and Apple still has two months to file an initial response and several appeals before the patent would be struck out. And even if this particular patent be rendered invalid, the Cupertino-based company would still have a number of multitouch-related patents to troll… sorry, use against other companies such as Motorola and Samsung.

Bugatti by Venet is the world's fastest art

Bugatti by Venet is the world's fastest art

Some consider the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport to be a piece of rolling art, while others consider the real masterpiece to be the engineering feats to be what lies underneath. Impressively, French artist Bernar Venet has managed to combine these two notions in one dramatic special edition model: the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Venet. Venet, whose works can be found everywhere from New Zealand to Versailles, confessed that he initially thought it unnecessary to alter what he already considered a work of art. The French painter and sculptor drew inspiration from Bugatti's engineering equations that led to the development of the Veyron.

New Automotive Glass Blocks UV And Infrared Rays

New Automotive Glass Blocks UV And Infrared Rays

Having your vehicle tinted all over is always a good thing, as it affords you a certain measure of privacy, and not only that, you are also able to remain safer – from all of the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared rays, of course. This is assuming the kind of tint you installed is road legal and works as advertised, otherwise it might look tinted, but the UV rays could still pour in. Well, Asahi Glass of Japan has just introduced a strengthened glass that is capable of blocking around 99% of infrared light for automotive doors – making this the first of its kind worldwide.

Judge in Apple vs Samsung case is hoping for “global peace”

Judge in Apple vs Samsung case is hoping for “global peace”

The battle between Apple and Samsung has been going on for quite a while now, and at this point in time it really just seems that the people benefiting the most from this would the lawyers working for either company. It would also seem that the judge presiding over the lawsuit seems to have gotten tired of it all as well, and after a particularly long day in the court,  Judge Lucy Koh asked the lawyers from both sides as to when this case would resolve. She went on to state, “I don't want to order anyone to meet again because it hasn't proven successful so far, but is there anything else that can be done.

NVIDA GeForce Experience App Finds Near-Perfect Game Settings

NVIDA GeForce Experience App Finds Near-Perfect Game Settings

NVIDIA has released its GeForce Experience application to 10,000 early users. Some of you may recall that back in April, NVIDIA revealed this application that optimizes PC games graphics (and physics) settings to increase image quality, performance – or both. GeForce experience also checks for the latest drivers, which are often critical for performance. The idea came from data that NVIDIA gathered: 80% of PC gamers just use the games' out-of the-box graphics settings without tweaking them optimally for their specific configuration.
