Diablo 3 hotfix removes monster damage boost in co-op, Inferno teams breathe sigh of relief

Blizzard hotfixed in a significant change to Diablo 3 multiplayer over the weekend. Previously monster health and damage would stack depending on the number of players in the game, now Blizzard have completely removed that damage buff. Monsters will still have more health, but they won't be any stronger. That applies to co-op games across all difficulty tiers, and is excellent news for groups getting wiped in seconds by top tier hero mobs on Hell and Inferno.

Hot off the heels of making its way into those tiny Roku boxes, Slacker has struck yet another deal for your very own listening pleasure. The streaming service just announced it's now offering a total of six "live" stations from The Worldwide Leader in Sports, including ESPN Radio, Deportes, and regional ones such as New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles. Naturally, the ESPN offerings will allow users to listen in on live events such as this year's NBA Finals and the ongoing Euro 2012 soccer football tourney.

Apple introduces Power Nap OS X feature that updates your Mac while it's sleeping

Apple just introduced a new OS X feature here at WWDC 2012 called Power Nap. It lets your Mac update email, notifications and photos in the background, as well as back itself up while charging. Whether or not Apple ever drops the word "Ultrabooks" (and trust us, it won't), this addition is a clear retort to all those Windows-based ultraportables that promise to keep web-based apps up to date. In addition to the new MacBook Pros announced today, the feature will work with the second-generation Air, which makes us think all other legacy Macs might be excluded.

Apple axes 17-inch MacBook Pro, giant laptop owners weep

As we suspected when Apple updated traditional MacBook Pros, Apple has quietly dropped the 17-inch MacBook Pro. From here on out, it's either the 13- or 15-inch models if you want Apple's conventional form factor. The next-generation MacBook Pro is now your best option if you want more than a 1680 x 1050 resolution in a portable Mac, and there's no internal recourse for an ExpressCard slot if you lived on it. That said, we imagine Apple is counting on two pairs each of USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt on the new system to take care of ExpressCard's former duties.

Apple is certainly making WWDC a hardware conference this year - it just unveiled a refresh of the existing MacBook Pro running Intel's newer Ivy Bridge processors on the San Francisco gathering's opening day. The 13- and 15-inch portables run up to 2.7GHz quad Core i7s (turbo up to 3.7GHz), carry up to 8GB of RAM and have GeForce GT 650M-based graphics 60 percent faster than the previous generation. Like the new MacBook Air, they tout USB 3.0 ports.

Apple announces new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lineup

. Apple on Monday during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco announced upgrades to its MacBook Air and Macbook Pro lineup. The new MacBook Air is equipped with an Ivy Bridge processor and can be clocked up to 2GHz. The ultra thin computer also supports up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of Flash storage, along with a new 720p FaceTime camera and USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports on each side. The 11-inch MacBook Air will be available today for $999, while the 13-inch model will start at $1199.
