While the Moto X officially launched last week on AT&T and today on Verizon Wireless, there are still many questions left unanswered in regards to Moto X availability remaining carriers like Sprint and T-Mobile. Rumor has it that Samsung Electronics co-CEO JK Shin ordered that the company's first Tizen smartphone be delayed. Sony is continuing its #bestOfSony teasers of the Xperia Z1 / Honami with a look at the camera. A G logo next to it indicates the upcoming cameraphone will be using Sony's G lens, which is Sony's line of lenses for DSLRs and digicams. There's an LED flash next to the camera – single-LED and no xenon as early rumors indicated. We guess the Xperia Z1 will rely on its relatively big 1x2.3" sensor for low-light photography. It's about 70% bigger than most smartphone camera sensors used at the moment.

Subaru BRZ tS makes its brief video debut

Ever since Subaru released the BRZ, fans have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the STI version. But despite the recent release of the tS package, the brand faithful will have to wait a little longer, because the tS stops short of the full STI treatment. But at least it looks the part. Though the BRZ tS doesn't encompass any major engine mods to speak of, it does benefit from a number of enhancements: a new driveshaft, aero kit, Brembo brakes, Recaro buckets and more. Which may be more than enough for some, but to tip the scales of disappointment, Subaru will only make 500 such examples, and they'll only be available in Japan.

There's something oddly satisfying about watching the boys at iFixit teardown our most beloved Android devices. Their latest victim. The all new Motorola Moto X. The Moto X doesn't feature a removable battery cover which means tools are necessary for prying the device open. Except for the fancy wheels and the overly expressive fascias, the production version of the BMW X4 looks like it will carry over practically untouched from what we saw in the X4 Concept several months back. If you were alarmed when the Petersen Automotive Museum starting selling off large and significant parts of its venerable collection, fret not: the museum isn't in trouble. NHTSA rebuffs 'best ever' crash test claim by Tesla (video)

In response to Tesla's claim that the Model S is the safest car ever tested, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has released a statement clearing up how it rates cars. While not denying that the Model S is a very safe car, the agency said that its rating system is only between one and five stars – nothing higher and nothing lower. This means that, unlike honors classes in college and high school, there is no way to score above the highest rating, and Tesla says that it received a 5.4-star rating (although there is no indication where it got this information).

With the Infiniti Q30 concept heading to the Frankfurt Motor Show next month and a future premium compact model heading into production at Nissan's Sunderland UK assembly plant, just connecting the dots tells us this new small Infiniti is headed for UK production. The Lexus GX and the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which isn't sold in the US, have gone without visual updates since the current generation was launched in 2009. But what appear to be patent filing sketches and pictures of the sibling sports utility vehicles' mid-cycle updates have been leaked on a Russian Land Cruiser Club forum. Major changes to the GX's front end will be made to incorporate Lexus' signature grille. Gone are the awkwardly shaped headlamps and the soft-looking triple-slat grille.
