Lock eyes with something you don't want to hit and invariably, that's precisely what you'll do. One rider in California recently found that out the hard way when he was confronted with a pair of bicyclists pedaling up Mulholland Highway. The rider exited a corner with plenty of angle left in his bike at a completely reasonable and legal speed, but panic took over when he spotted the cyclists.

Their teardown reveals that the device is actually much more easier to repair than its counterparts such as iPhone 5 and HTC One. It is this way because the Galaxy S4 has a battery that can be removed and standard screws, that once unscrewed, give access to the internals. The S4 may lack design aesthetics of its competitors, but it is easier to repair, this could be an added plus for prospective customers who like to pop open their smartphones once in a while.

GM alters Akerson's pay mix because he may retire

General Motors has tweaked CEO Dan Akerson's pay mix to compensate for the possibility that the 64-year-old executive may retire before his long-term restricted stock vests in three years. Last year, Akerson saw his pay jump by 44 percent to $11.1 million, including $1.99 million in restricted stock as salary units, which vest immediately. Previously, Akerson was awarded around $2 million in restricted stock that could be forfeited on retirement. The change has led some analysts to believe Akerson may retire earlier than he had planned.

Beverly Hills road rage incident ends with BMW driver ramming bicyclist

An instance of road rage turned mortally dangerous in Beverly Hills, CA, recently, when an incident between a cyclist and a BMW driver took a scary turn in front of a rolling security camera. LA Weekly reports that the person on the bicycle and the driver of the 2008 BMW 328i in the video had some kind of altercation, resulting in the cyclist punching the driver. The driver then followed the biker to an alley on the 9000 block of Wilshire Blvd and, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department, "Intentionally rammed the bicyclist with his vehicle pinning him to a metal rolling trash bin.".

IIHS survey says D.C. residents like speed and red-light cameras

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) released a study this week that seems to go against what critics and the media have been reporting for years. According to the report, some people – more specifically, a large majority of the residents in Washington D.C. – actually like red light and speed cameras. The study, conducted in November 2012, interviewed 801 people who live in the District. Of those surveyed over the phone, 71 percent had driven and walked in the city during the past month, 23 percent had walked and not driven and 4 percent had driven and not walked.

It may not be another patent dispute, but that doesn't mean HTC hasn't landed themselves in hot water once again. The manufacturer of one of the best Android devices to date may have unknowingly placed a giant target on their backs with the release of the One. Nokia was granted a preliminary injunction against the HTC One in the Netherlands over its use of a “high-amplitude microphone,” a Nokia owned component. According to Nokia, this technology was to be manufactured exclusively for them by ST Electronics and is a breach of their signed NDA (non-disclosure agreement).

Sporting the latest technology from both Qualcomm and Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S4 with the Exynos 5 Octa-core chipset and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset are certainly performing very well as far as their AnTuTu benchmark scores are concerned, but it looks like hot on their heels is a mysterious device from Fujitsu, the FJDEV001. At this point in time not much is known about this mysterious handset, although some are speculating that it could very well sport the Snapdragon 600 chipset due to its score of 25,458, a score which is sitting around the same numbers as the Qualcomm-based Galaxy S4.
