Griffin's guitar adapter feeds a digital signal into your iPhone or iPad. Running an analog signal from your guitar to your iPad is fine, but the crackles and pops that come along with it aren't. Griffin's new GuitarConnect Pro fixes this by putting an analog to digital converter into the widget, and piping the result direct into the dock connector.
Thus, you can feed your guitar straight into any Core Audio app, from virtual guitar pedals to Apple's own opus, GarageBand.
The little gadget has a standard quarter-inch jack socket for the guitar cable, and a short output cable with the familiar 30-pin plug on the end.
