These surveys seem to only be going out to people who signed up before today, and only in the areas where Boxee is rolling out its Cloud DVR service. That's the Pet-Proto you can see in the video below, balancing and leaping across narrow terrain, conducting its own "autonomous decision-making" and keeping upright - all very important points for DARPA's own Robotics Challenge, a competition where winners will gain access to their very own modified version of the Atlas for future disaster response tests.

Samsung intends to roll out their very first foldable touchscreen device sometime in 2013, where it is touted to be known as the Samsung GT-B9150. Rumors have been swirling around, touting that this foldable touchscreen device will feature a 5.3" Super AMOLED HD Dual display. Techjailbreak claims that this spanking new Android-powered will be easier to be known as the Samsung Galaxy Q. Do you concur.
It seems that Samsung might actually use their spanking new Exynos 5250 processor, in addition to carrying an 8-megapixel camera at the back, while there will be a 2-megapixel shooter up front.

Amazon debuts Kindle Windows 8 app

With all the hubbub surrounding today's Microsoft event, who can blame Amazon for wanting to get in on the action. The mega-retailer used the opportunity to announce the Windows 8 version of its popular reading app. Interested parties can download the thing for free from the Windows Store, giving them access to the company's selection of 1.5 million titles. The app is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese and offers up good old Amazon features like Whispersync. Amazon also used the opportunity to announce that Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung will be pre-loading the app on their devices.

As promised, Amazon has started shipping its latest Kindles on the other side of the Atlantic, with the Kindle Paperwhite as well as the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD making the trip. Amazon's branded video services did not make the trip, so Lovefilm is filling in, offering a free month to buyers of either Fire tablet.
