Samsung and Rogers will release the new Galaxy S II LTE in Canada very soon. For your info, the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE is an enhanced version of Galaxy S II i9100. The smartphone features a large 4.5-inch WVGA display, a faster 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, and an 8MP rear facing camera with AutoFocus and Flash. Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this time.

DARPA, an arm of the Pentagon, has just rolled out the official solicitation for its “100 Year Starship” project that has the intention of sending human beings to space, letting them enjoy interstellar voyages within this coming century. We just had a chance to get up close with AT&T's brand new GALAXY S II device, which was just revealed during a Samsung press event here in New York City. AT&T's GALAXY S II is nearly identical to the European model; it is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a large Super AMOLED Plus display, 16GB of storage with room for a 32GB microSD card, an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats, and support for AT&T's HSPA+ network. The GALAXY S II runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with Samsung's custom TouchWiz user interface on top.

Official: Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch Coming to Sprint September 16th, $199

Today Sprint proudly announced that it will be the first carrier to offer the Samsung Galaxy S II in the US. Picking up where the Epic 4G left off, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch will feature no keyboard but sport a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor, and connectivity with Sprint’s WiMAX network. The phone will launch September 16th at a price of $199.99 after contract. The Epic 4G Touch is available for pre-order via a $50 gift card reservation now.

Our friends from over the United States of America can rejoice after last weeks news that Verizon would not sell the all new and shiny Samsung Galaxy S II, but AT&T has the new smartphone scheduled for this September for an undisclosed yet amount of bills and T-Mobile said it will also be selling it “this fall”. Like with the last Galaxy, there will be some differences between the models that each cell phone carrier will be selling, for example AT&T will have a 4.3-inch screen while Sprint and T-Mobile will have a 4.52-inch, there will also be different names.

The name is cleared up as part of a training site that has launched ahead of tonight’s official unveiling event, but we also get our first official rundown of how this phone will differ from its international variant. The device will indeed be known as the Epic 4G Touch, differing slightly from the Epic Touch 4G name most have assumed it would carry.
