Just last week during Apple's iPad event, it was revealed that new Mac computers would come with iWork and iLife installed for free, and that the company would offer upgrades to their latest operating system, OS X Mavericks, for free as well. While it seemed like this was an offer with no clock on the table, we guess there are still some users out there who might be wondering if there is a time limit to this offer and if it was a one-time deal.

New Daylight Saving Time Bug Surfaces In iOS 7

A new bug has surfaced for some users in Calendar display on iOS 7, where the current time is offset by one hour, despite the fact that the status bar shows the correct time. The bug appears to be limited to the Calendar display, since alarms and events are not disturbed in any way, they're correctly timed and displayed. For example, due to the bug, the app will draw current time line at the 1:15 PM slot if the time is 12:15 PM. This isn't the first time we're hearing about a daylight saving time bug in an Apple device.

BBM For Android And iOS Will Remain Free

After the initial roll out was plagued with issues, BlackBerry tried its luck once again last week and rolled out BBM for Android and iOS. The second time around, the launch went smoothly. BlackBerry was also quick to abolish to waitlist after launch so that users could get immediate access to the messenger, which is now finally cross-platform. At this point in time, the BBM app for Android and iOS is available for free. Executive vice president of BBM at BlackBerry, Andrew Bocking, confirms that the service will remain free in the future.
Though that doesn't mean BlackBerry won't monetize it.

New Retina MacBook Pro Owners Facing Issues With Trackpad And Keyboard

On October 22nd, at its media event, Apple unveiled a refreshed lineup of Retina MacBook Pro. The new laptops come with Intel Haswell processors as well as decent price cuts. Unlike the new tablets that were announced that day, customers don't have to wait to get their hands on a new late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro. Some owners of the new laptops have taken to the Apple Support Communities to voice issues that they're facing with the trackpad and the keyboard.
